Window Wraps

Window Wraps and Window Graphics for Schools and Businesses in DFW

What Is a Window Wrap?

A window wrap is printed vinyl applied to glass, used to put a logo, school colors, hours, or a large image on a storefront, an entrance, or an interior window. Window graphics can cover a whole pane or sit as lettering and decals on part of it, depending on how much light and visibility the space needs. At 1st Class Graphics in Mansfield, TX, we design, print, and install window graphics in-house, and schools are some of our most frequent window clients, from the entrance at Maypearl ISD to the building entrance at Fairfield High School. If you want graphics that continue from the glass onto the walls, our building and wall wraps page covers painted surfaces.

Solid Vinyl or Perforated Window Film

The first choice on any window project is the film. Solid vinyl gives full color and full coverage, which suits lettering, logos, and graphics on doors and interior glass where nobody needs to see through. Perforated window film is printed with a pattern of small holes, so people outside see the image while people inside can still look out, which makes it the usual pick for storefronts and large glass that faces a parking lot. Many projects mix both, with solid lettering at eye level and perforated film on the upper panes. The same films go on vehicles too, and our full vehicle wraps page explains how rear windows are handled on a wrapped vehicle.

Window Graphics for Schools, Offices, and Storefronts

Glass near an entrance is the first thing visitors see, so it’s a strong spot for a name, a mascot, or a welcome message. Our school projects show the range: entrance doors and vestibules for Hillsboro Elementary School, a Rice Bulldogs entrance, interior windows for Maypearl, and the building entrance at Lorene Smith Kirkpatrick Elementary School. For a business, the same approach puts your hours, services, and phone number on the storefront where drivers and walk-in customers can read them. Offices use window graphics for privacy on conference rooms and interior glass. If your school also runs buses, see our school and bus wraps page.

What to Plan Before a Window Wrap

Glass Measurements

Measure every pane, including frames and mullions, so each panel is printed to fit.

Light and Visibility

Decide where you need to see out and where full coverage or privacy works better.

Inside or Outside

Tell us whether graphics go on the inside or outside face of the glass.

Viewing Distance

Note whether people read the glass from the sidewalk, the parking lot, or the road.

Window projects start with the size and count of the panes, so send photos of each window straight on and a rough measurement of the glass. Include your logo files, colors, and the message that matters most, whether that is a school name, store hours, or a list of services. If the building has several entrances, tell us which ones visitors use most. When you’re ready, get a free quote and we’ll recommend solid vinyl, perforated film, or a mix for your windows.

Window Wrap FAQs

How much do window graphics cost?

The cost of window graphics depends on how much glass is covered, whether the design uses solid vinyl or perforated film, and how much design work the layout needs. A single door is a small job, while a full storefront or school entrance takes more material and install time. Send photos and measurements to get a free quote.

Perforated window film is printed vinyl with a pattern of small holes through it. From outside, the printed image reads as one graphic, and from inside, people can still see out through the holes. It is the common choice for storefronts and large windows where a business wants advertising on the glass without blocking the view.

That depends mostly on sun and where the film sits. Graphics on the inside face of the glass are protected from weather, while outside graphics on a sunny, south-facing storefront age faster. Gentle cleaning with a soft cloth helps, and we plan the film and placement around how much sun each window gets.

Yes. Our printed window graphics are laminated, which protects the ink from scratches, cleaning, and sun, and keeps colors looking right for longer. Lamination matters most on high-traffic doors and on glass that gets cleaned often, like school entrances. You can see how design, print, and install fit together on our process page.

Small lettering or a single decal is something many owners can put up themselves. Larger graphics that span several panes are harder, since each panel has to line up across frames and go on without bubbles or creases. For multi-pane storefronts and school entrances, a professional install keeps the design straight and the edges clean.
