Boat Wraps

Boat Wraps for Bass Boats, Pontoons, and Wake Boats in DFW

What Is a Boat Wrap?

A boat wrap is printed vinyl applied to a boat’s hull and sides to add graphics, sponsor logos, or a completely new look. Unlike paint, a wrap can carry a detailed printed design, and it can be changed later when a sponsor, team, or style changes. Bass boats, wakeboard boats, pontoons, and race boats all have different hull shapes, so each design is laid out around the boat you actually own. At 1st Class Graphics in Mansfield, TX, we design, print, and install boat wraps in-house, including a full wrap on the Bassreaper Bait Co Skeeter bass boat shown here. For other personal vehicles and one-off builds, see our custom specialty wraps page.

Wrapping Around Hull Shape, Rails, and Hardware

A boat’s shape decides where the design can go. Bass boats have long, low sides with a strong hull line, pontoons have tall tubes and fence panels, and wake boats carry towers and swim platforms. Before layout begins, we note rub rails, cleats, vents, lights, and where the registration numbers sit, then plan the graphics so seams and edges land in sensible places. Pontoon projects often focus on the fence panels, like the partial wrap on the red pontoon pictured here, while bass and wake boats usually get full-side coverage. Most boats travel on a trailer too, and our trailer wraps page covers branding the trailer itself.

Why Anglers and Boat Owners Choose a Wrap

For tournament anglers, a wrapped boat works like a sponsor board that shows up at ramps, weigh-ins, and on the water. Sponsor logos, a team name, and a signature graphic can all be printed as one design instead of a patchwork of stickers, and the layout can be updated as sponsors change. For recreational owners, a wrap gives a boat a new personality without a repaint, whether that’s a bold pattern or a single color with a name on the side. The wakeboard boat pictured here received a full wrap in a bright printed pattern. For a closer look at how full coverage is planned, see our full vehicle wraps page.

What to Plan Before Wrapping Your Boat

Hull Details

Share the boat's make, model, and length, plus photos of both sides while it sits on the trailer.

Sponsor Files

Gather current sponsor logos and any placement rules your sponsors or team give you.

Registration Area

Show us where the registration numbers and decal sit, so the design leaves room for them.

Season Timing

Schedule around tournaments and trips, since the boat is out of the water during the install.

Boat wraps start with the boat itself, so the most useful thing you can send is a clear set of photos from both sides, the bow, and the stern. Include your logo or sponsor files and any colors you want to keep. If you fish a tournament schedule, tell us the date of your next event so design and install can be planned around it. Let us know about any repairs or gelcoat work coming up, since that should happen before graphics go on. When you’re ready, get a free quote with your boat’s details.

Boat Wrap FAQs

How much does a boat wrap cost?

A boat wrap’s cost depends on the boat’s length and hull shape, how much of it you want covered, and how detailed the design is. A full wrap on a bass boat is a different job than fence-panel graphics on a pontoon. Share your boat’s make, model, and length with photos to get a free quote.

No. Shrink wrap is a plastic cover that protects a boat during winter storage or transport, and it comes off before the boat goes back in the water. A boat wrap is printed vinyl applied to the hull for graphics and appearance, and it stays on while you use the boat all season long.

A boat wrap’s life depends on sun, water, and storage. Boats kept covered or under a roof between trips hold up better than ones left out in the sun, and a freshwater rinse after use helps. Areas that rub against docks, bunks, or fenders wear first, so we plan graphics with those contact points in mind.

Not when it goes on a sound, clean surface and comes off the right way. The gelcoat or paint needs to be in good shape first, because vinyl follows the surface underneath rather than repairing it. We look at the hull before any design is printed and tell you if something needs attention first.

Yes. A boat wrap can come off when you sell the boat, change sponsors, or want a different design, and a new wrap can go on in its place. Removal is cleanest on a surface that was sound when the wrap went on. For other one-off projects, see our custom specialty wraps page.
