Trailer Wraps

Trailer Wraps for Enclosed, Cargo, and Gooseneck Trailers in Dallas-Fort Worth

What Is a Trailer Wrap?

A trailer wrap is printed vinyl applied to the sides, front, and rear of a trailer to turn it into branded advertising. Enclosed trailers are especially good candidates, because an enclosed trailer wrap covers large, flat walls that often have more usable space than the truck pulling them. A cargo trailer wrap can advertise a business, a band program, or a mobile service, and it keeps working when the trailer is unhitched and parked at a job site, a school, or an event. 1st Class Graphics in Mansfield, TX designs, prints, and installs trailer wraps in-house for single cargo trailers up to large gooseneck and semi trailers. If the truck that tows it needs matching graphics, see our truck wraps page.

Working With Rivets, Seams, and Ramp Doors

Trailer walls are rarely one smooth sheet, so the install has to work with rivet lines, panel seams, corner caps, and trim rails. Vinyl is worked around each rivet head and pressed into seams so it doesn’t lift over time, which takes more care on a trailer than on the smooth panels of a van. The rear is usually a ramp door or barn doors, and the design is planned so the message still reads when the ramp is down during loading. Side doors, fenders, and marker lights are placed around rather than covered. Band, athletics, and school programs use these same enclosed trailers for equipment, and several of our trailer projects are for school band programs, alongside the work on our school bus wraps page.

Why Parked Trailers Keep Advertising

A wrapped trailer keeps advertising after it’s unhitched, which makes it one of the most cost-effective surfaces a business can brand. Contractors leave trailers at job sites for days, event businesses park them beside venues, and landscapers line them up in neighborhoods while crews work. Each of those stops puts your name and number in front of people who live or work nearby, without a vehicle or driver tied up. Trailers also tend to stay in service for many years, so a clear, simple design with a phone number and website ages better than a trendy one. Businesses with a trailer and matching tow vehicles can keep them consistent through our fleet vehicle wraps approach.

What to Plan Before Wrapping a Trailer

Trailer Dimensions

Measure length, height, and whether the nose is flat or V-shaped, since that changes the front layout.

Rear Door Style

Tell us if the rear is a ramp door or barn doors, so the message reads when it's open.

Where It Parks

Note which side faces the street at job sites or events, so that side carries the main message.

Surface Condition

Point out dents, loose rivets, or peeling decals, since vinyl follows the surface underneath it.

Trailer wraps start with the trailer’s shape, so the most useful thing you can send is a set of photos of every side, including the nose and rear doors. Add the length, height, and type of trailer, plus your logo files and the one or two services you most want people to remember. If old lettering or decals are still on the trailer, mention it, since they need to come off before the new wrap goes on. For trailers that travel with a truck, share photos of the truck too, so both can be designed to match. When you’re ready, get a free quote with your trailer’s details.

I highly recommend 1st Class Graphics for all commercial vehicle marketing materials. My initial discovery call with Gary was very informative and enthusiastic. Next was the design phase, where the graphic designer brought my ideas into reality. It was a collaborative effort from start to finish, only requiring 3 iterations. Lastly, payment and pickup. They are priced competitively and have a quick turnaround. When I received my trailer I was pleasantly shocked at the value I received! Just look at the pics! Needles to say 1st Class Graphics has secured a lifelong customer.

Trailer Wrap FAQs

How much does it cost to wrap a trailer?

The cost to wrap a trailer depends on its length and height, whether it’s enclosed or open, how much of it is covered, and how many rivets and doors the install has to work around. A small cargo trailer and a gooseneck are very different jobs. Share your trailer’s size to get a free quote.

Yes, riveted enclosed trailers are wrapped all the time. The installer works the vinyl around each rivet head and into the panel seams so it stays down, which takes more time than a smooth surface but gives a finish that holds up on the road.

You can buy printed vinyl and wrap a trailer yourself, but rivets, seams, and the ramp door are where DIY trailer wraps usually lift or bubble. Large panels also need two people and practice to align without wrinkles, especially on a trailer longer than the vinyl sheets.

Matching the trailer to your truck makes the whole rig look like one company, which helps people remember you when they see it on the road. If the budget only covers one, the trailer is often the better first choice because it keeps advertising when it’s parked on its own.

Yes, old lettering and decals are removed before the new wrap goes on, since vinyl applied over them would show their outline. Removal is easiest on lettering in good condition; old, sun-baked decals take longer to come off and may leave adhesive to clean.
